Did you know….Cross-Wooden

The Senior Choir usually wears stoles with a white “Cross and   Flame” insignia.  However, during the Lenten season they wear wooden crosses.  These crosses are made from chestnut wood salvaged many years ago from the Harder farmhouse which stood on the corner of Hooper Road and Farm-to-Market Rd.  The house was intentionally burned by the Endwell Fire Department in the 1960’s.  Don Reichley made the crosses in the mid 1980’s for the choir and they have worn them every Lenten season since then.

Thank you again, Don, for sharing your talents in this meaningful way
